Gary Alexander, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon practicing in Arlington and Mansfield. Dr. Alexander joins Texas Health Care from The Methodist Hospital in Houston, where he was named Resident of the Year in 2006. He attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston after completing his undergraduate degree in physics at the University of Dallas.

Dr. Alexander finds satisfaction in interacting with patients and solving medical problems, noting that he is continually amazed at how the human body repairs itself. His aim is to provide top-notch medical care through timely screening and surgical intervention of treatable diseases. With a background in computers, outside the office, Dr. Alexander enjoys tinkering with electronics and other gadgets. He also enjoys writing and drawing and is an avid fan of local sports, baseball in particular.
